Mayor’s Easter Egg Hunt, Free Concerts in Flowers Park, Movies Under the Stars, Mayor’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Free Family Christmas Movies are just some of the fun activities held by the city. On top of these, Doraville encourages its community to join their fitness and wellness classes available for all ages. In September of 2014, the former site of a General Motors plant was purchased for the plan of developing an Atlantic Station style of neighborhood in Doraville. Also notable are the city’s mid-century modern houses, and since its explosion of growth in the 1940s, Doraville has focused on maintaining the homes’ original architecture.
